1.14 - The Bug Boys (Booktasters Review)

Hi everyone, Robyn here!

Today's blog post is about Stewart Hoffman's The Bug Boys! This was another book that I had the pleasure and honor of reading through Booktasters.

It's been a long time coming for me to actually sit down and read, and I apologize for the long wait!!

This post also marks the first time I'm experimenting with Goodreads' auto-blog post function, so everything will be below the cut! The final score of the book was 5/5, and I implore you to buy the book here if you're interested!

Without further ado, let's get started!

1.6 - My first month with Fiverr + Price Updates

Hi everyone, Robyn here!

Today marks the last blog post of the new year week! January is already ramping up to a wild start, and that just means that I need to get started, too!

So, as I've mentioned before, I write on Fiverr now. I currently write fanfiction only, but I've been commissioned to do a couple of blog posts and other types of writing. I've been trying to steadily work on getting my schedule together so that I can actually release everything on time. It's NOT going well, but I'm just going with the flow until I can work it out.

Um, that's being said, let's talk about Fiverr a little bit today! I wanna talk about what I like about it, as well as what I'm not really liking about it but will deal with. So on and so forth. I can't guarantee when I'll put my updated prices up, but I do have them written down in my journal. I just want two other gigs up at the same time. Fun stuff, I know.

Without further ado, let's get started.

1.5 - My New Years Resolutions

Hi everyone, Robyn here!!

Today's blog post will be something very simple and quick. In fact, it's so simple that I'll be looking back on it every so often to log the steps that I'm taking about them.

New Years Resolutions! Woo.

Without further ado, let's get started.

1.4 - On Gender, Going Forward

Hi everyone, Robyn here.

Today's blog post is something a little more serious and requires me to be a little more vulnerable than I have been in my previous ones. I don't know how long I'll be rambling about this, so I'm going to cut it into a "read more" like all my others, but it's very important.

It doesn't have much to do with my career, as it is with me as an individual. It's about my gender, my pronouns, and my reasonings behind such going forward.

That being said the tl;dr is my pronouns have solidified and I feel a lot more comfortable being referred to as He/They. She/Her, like before, can still be used around my friends, but please ask me about other ways to refer to me before you do so.

If you want to read the full reasoning behind it, just continue on.

1.3 - An Overwhelming Beginning

Hi everyone, Robyn here!

Happy Friday of the new year! It's been a long time coming - four weeks, actually - and I finally have some stuff to talk about for today! I've been extremely busy, I apologize in advance, but I'm trying to do my best to do some catchup! I was trying too hard to tackle everything at once. I'm trying to tell my brain to stop doing that so I can just get to work on stuff that needed to be worked on by now.

Without further ado, I've kept y'all waiting long enough. Let's get started!

1.2 - Gaming Focus!

Hi everyone, Robyn here!

Holiday festivities can be fun, but are - without a doubt - super stressful. I've had to meet countless people (everyone was kind!), figure out gifts for some (they seemed well received), and just generally try to deal with other types of stress that rise around this time of year. I am - without a doubt - mentally burnt out, but I am trying to repurpose all this scattered energy into doing work. So far it's going well! A lot of my work that I'm doing has been well-received, but that's not what I'm here to talk about today.

Not unlike my friends, I play video games. If you've peeked through my blog, you will have noticed that I've talked a little bit about them. I play them for fun, but I also started playing them in order to escape from everyday stresses and conflicts. Growing up, I played anywhere from eight to ten different games at once. This steadily went into me focusing on one at a time - thinking that I was getting too old. However, now that I'm starting a different type of job setting and have moved out, I'm... actually doing more than one thing? Maybe I can actually tackle my backlog.

God, I'm rambling again, but today I'm going to be talking about what I've been focusing on in the past couple of months. They ain't gonna be reviews or anything, but I'll talk about why I like them a lot.

Without further ado, let's get started.

1.1 - Auld Lanxiety?

Happy holidays, everyone! Iiit's Robyn!

2019 is finally over, huh? Everyone's raring to go into 2020, and - honestly - I don't blame them! Last year was a really tough year for me - seemingly easy in the beginning until I had a lot of my own trials to face and deal with. I'm still working out a lot of the smaller details, but I'm ready to start this decade anew. The 2010s were the years I've lived my life through middle school, high school, and college. There's still a lot about the world that I don't understand, but I'm going to try my best.

...Fluffy words aside, I know I've skimped out on blog posts and the like and I apologize for that! To be quite honest, I got really excited starting out on freelancing that I took too much into my hands and I'm not quite sure what to do with it just yet. I'm going to be making up for it by posting a blog post once a day until January 6th, and then switch to a bi-weekly post schedule. What they contain will vary, but consider Fridays to be update days and whatever other day I decide to update on to be life days.

For now, consider this post a 2019 in review! I want to talk about my accomplishments, some favorites of mine in the year, and what to expect going forward.

Without further ado, let's get started.
